Charity & Community

What's going on in our local community?

We are very lucky to be part of a thriving and active local community. We enjoy taking part in as many local community events as we can as a school and are happy to use our website to keep you informed about events and activities happening locally that you might like to take part in. Follow the links below to find out what's on in our community at the moment.

The Scout Group wholly relies on volunteers to continue to provide exciting opportunities and experiences for our young people.

Happy House - Children of Watamu

Since 2011, we have been sponsoring 2 children via the Happy House (Children of Watamu) charity. Happy House provides a safe home for over 100 vulnerable children in Kenya as well as schooling for a further 380 children from nursery through to secondary school.  We are currently sponsoring 2 girls: Diana and Elizabeth and receive regular updates about their progress and achievements.
